"I was 4 days away from shoulder surgery when I discovered Dr. Amstutz and the Kinetic Chain."

Don't have shoulder surgery until you see me!

    • Have you been told you have Impingement Syndrome?
    • Have you been diagnosed with rotator cuff injuries?
    • Are you about to have shoulder surgery?
    • Is your throwing arm injured AGAIN?

I do something completely different from most physical therapists, sports medicine doctors and orthopedic surgeons: I fix the reason you get injured using a unique understanding of how your body works. I call it Kinetic Chain Assessment.

I'll explain the Kinetic Chain in a moment, but first I want you to understand why your current treatment probably WON'T fix your shoulder. Worse, surgery may result in MORE pain down the road.

Most practitioners, including orthopedic surgeons, treat the site of PAIN, and not necessarily the CAUSE. But whatever hurts is rarely the cause of your injury!

All too often the athlete seeks relief because something hurts. Triathletes have painful knees or shins. Baseball players have shoulder pain. Weightlifters throw out their back.

And typically, your sports doc will treat pain with the following:

    • Ice
    • E-Stim
    • Ultrasound
    • Massage
    • Stretching
    • Adjustments
    • A blurry photocopy of some obscure exercises that you won't do

Here's the problem: What hurts is probably NOT your actual injury

    The Kinetic Chain
explains how I find the true source of your shoulder injury -- and FIX IT.

This works on Major League Baseball players I treat like Greg Dobbs of the 2008 World Series Champion Philadelphia Phillies, to the youth athletes,  amateur athletes and regular folks that come to see me.

The human kinetic system is made up of all your joints (from your toe knuckles, ankles, knees, hips, backbone, shoulders, right on up to your atlas, the final bone of your spine that your skull sits on). And it's not just the bones. All these parts are connected with networks of ligaments and tendons. All these parts are known as the myofascial connections. Then of course there are your muscles.

Taken together, this system works incredibly well at letting you move, bend, dance, throw, locomote, sit, walk, and otherwise navigate your world.

Now, all these things you do with your body are actually made up of separate, smaller movements. For instance, just taking a step can be broken down into 31 distinct actions. Put these actions together, and you have a Kinetic Chain in motion.

    Simple, right?

So you'll understand why, when one thing in the chain is dysfunctional or injured, the rest of the Kinetic Chain needs to compensate. If your toe is injured, your ankle needs to work harder to keep balance as you lift or throw. That can turn your kneecap inward slightly, causing your hip to tilt a bit to compensate. By the time you do a simple thing like throw a baseball, you get shoulder injury.

Most practitioners will then address the specific joint that hurts. To only assess and treat the specific joint in pain is very common. E-stim, ultrasound, injections and exercises account for the majority of treatments for 'unexplained' joint pain. But 82% of the time, the pain will return or will never completely resolve because the true cause of the pain has never been addressed and solved.

Okay, maybe your doc has eliminated your pain...

If you are pain-free but still dysfunctional, you are only steps away from a reoccurrence or a catastrophic event. The dysfunction still exists in your Kinetic Chain.

Put your shoulder surgery on hold, at least until I can do a complete Upper and Lower Kinetic Chain Evaluation

If you're about to get shoulder surgery because you been told you have rotator cuff injuries, impingement syndrome or some other diagnosis related to your shoulder, WAIT!

Number one: Orthopedic surgeons have one tool: surgery. They are in the business of cutting things out.

Number two: By the time your body is moving its shoulder, it has moved at least 26 different joints (Kinetic Chain!). That means it is VERY likely, almost assured that whatever makes your shoulder hurt started somewhere else. Cutting your shoulder won't fix it.

    My Offer:

To save you from the unnecessary pain, expense and futility of shoulder surgery.
My analysis and treatment aims at fixing the cause of your shoulder injury, and avoiding surgery altogether. It is my understanding of the Kinetic Chain that allows me to fix the true cause of your shoulder injury, once and for all.

schedule your NEW PATIENT Kinetic Chain Evaluation

When you come in to our newly renovated and state of the art Synergy Performance Institute, I'll examine and detect what's really wrong using my complex knowledge of:

    • Kinetic Chain function vs. dysfunction (for example, proper throwing mechanics of shoulder, elbow and wrist)
    • Articular (joint) biomechanics
    • Ligamentous and fascial anatomy and mechanics
    • Muscle function and quality
    • Normal neuromuscular firing patterns
    • Biomeridian Assessment(that could reveal, for example, a systemic slow healing that is a sign of liver dysfunction)

Don't have shoulder surgery until you see me

Your surgery is likely to cost thousands of dollars. It will create scar tissues and trauma to myofascial tissue you use every day. And worse, it is very unlikely to address what caused your pain in the first place.

GOOD NEWS: I usually fix the root causes of most injuries in weeks
